Glengary Gator Crossing Track

In 2016 the Glengary PTA successfully raised over $47,000 to build the Glengary Gator Crossing Track!  Our track is 1/5 of a mile and used daily by students and staff members.  We are so very thankful for the generous donations from families as well as community members and local businesses that helped make this happen for our school.

Here are just some of the many ways that our track is being used:

Mileage Club:  At lunch, students have the opportunity to walk/run on the track.  Parent volunteers help them keep track of laps, with each mile of completion, students earn a toe tag to put on a necklace!

STRIDE: A boys running club that is coached by parent volunteers.  They meet twice a week before school to talk about life skills and then run on our track.

Girls on the Run: A girls running club that is coached by parent volunteers.  They meet twice a week before school to talk about life skills and then run on our track.

Fun Run:  Glengary's biggest fundraiser of the year!

Walking Wednesdays:  In the spring, Mr. Vogt, invites students and parents to come start their morning with a walk around the track!
